Biography

"Nat Zim is 18 years old and has always had a love of the arts. Her passion started early on, when she was 2, with a strong love for dance. Over her 13 years of dance training, she studied Cechetti Ballet (Grade 6), Jazz, Hip Hop, Irish, Tap (Gold and intermediate) and she was also an assistant Tap teacher to younger children for 3 years. Her dance training then led her to her theatre journey and she now has numerous principle theatre credits to her name, to include: 2 consecutive years touring with CATS (Theatrix) and a flying role in Peter Pan: The Musical (Royal City Music Theatre) along with many others. However, for the past 3 years, Natasha's primary focus has been singing and songwriting. Her past competitions and performances are way too numerous to mention but notable highlights are: the Merritt Mountain Music Festivals (3 years - opening up for Johnny Reid, The Road Hammers & Aaron Lines), Downtown Walk of Stars in Merritt, the Big Valley Jamboree in Alberta, opening for Chilliwack and The Headpins, going on tour as the opening act for Jason McCoy's Christmas tour in 2009, as well as singing at the BCCMA Awards Showcase and the CCMA Awards Red Carpet Gala After Party. Natasha also volunteers her time at many venues, to include: retirement homes, Canuck Place, Hospices, school functions, fairs, carnivals and many, many others!

Nat has had an incredibly busy and exciting past few years, working, songwriting and singing in numerous places, such as Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, all over BC, the US and in the UK! She has had the amazing honour of working alongside the Canadian country music star, Jason McCoy (from The Road Hammers), who is now an incredible friend and mentor to her.

Nat has been to Nashville twice. The first time, she had the honour of writing and collaborating with Jason McCoy, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Willie Mack, Denny Carr, Scott Baggett and many other incredible artists! The second time, she recorded some of her original songs at the world renowned Dark Horse Studios, with some of Nashville's top session musicians! She has also recently just been involved with Simon Cowell's hit television show, The X FACTOR, in the United Kingdom. She made it into the Top 16 girls and had an amazing time. It was and experience she won't soon forget!

National Anthem singing has been a big part to Nat's singing journey. She started singing Anthem's when she was 14, for her local hockey team. Little did she know, she would go on to sing the Anthems over 400 times just within the last 4 years! She sings regularly for the Abbotsford Heat, Vancouver Giants, Chilliwack Bruins, Coquitlam Express, Langley Chiefs, Surrey Eagles, Aldergrove Kodiaks, UBC Thunderbirds, SFU Hockey, Vancouver Whitecaps, Vancouver Canadians, BC Lions and BC Titans. She has also sung for the RCMP Musical Ride, BC's 150th Birthday Celebration, Hastings Race Course, Edmonton Eskimos, Anaheim Ducks, Vancouver Canucks and five times for the San Jose Sharks!

Even with her insanely busy schedule, in June 2010 Nat was able to graduate from high school a full year early, with Honours and is currently studying (and half way through) her Masters Certificate in Music Business.

Nat is currently working hard on her upcoming debut album and cannot wait for her songs to be released to radio and for the world to hear them!"
