"Creating a stir..."

Navaeh is a four-piece rock band that hails from Richmond, Virginia, and apparently, they are causing a big stir there. If you're nostalgic for the grunge sound from "way back" in the 90's, "Dying to Live" may satisfy your craving. (This is not surprising as Nirvana is one of the influences that they cite.) "Eyes on Me," a song that evokes shades of Queen of the Stone Age, features the twin leads of Jereme Yoho and Andrew Godfrey. If it's intensity you desire, the band delivers and then some. They wouldn't have to be ashamed to play "Extreme Concern" for Metallica (or anyone else for that matter).
Their lyrics aren't exactly poetry, but since when did that matter in metal? The music is powerful, and that's what it's all about. The only thing that I would like to see is for the band to establish their own identity, and stray from the sound of their mentors, but they have a lot of heart, and that can't be denied. From all indications, their regional fans aren't complaining; so, as far as I'm concerned, they can continue to blow the roof off the proverbial house.

"...These hard rockers, also from VA, smoked the stage with double leads and Motorhead influenced riffs that got the crowd howling. Their 18 y.o. lead singer, Andrew Godfrey, is a talent to be reckoned with." - Kaeti Bradley

We play music not because we want to... but because it is everything that we live for. It's all we know.
