Neanderthal Alien has already toured extensively across the United States, Holland and Poland since its recent formation in the fall of 2004. In July 2005 NA performed to a sold out crowd at the prestigious Warsaw Summer Jazz days festival.
Neanderthal Alien will be realising their much anticipated album "Coming Down" this summer.

Bass - Ranjit Prasad
American bass player and master breeder of Neanderthal now residing in Poland via Amsterdam via Midwest America. Ranjit has performed and recorded all over Asia, Europe, and the United States with bands and artists such as Konarak Reddy, Esperanto, Jason Seed, Mo Phillips, The Electric Fans, and Zac Brown.

Guitar - Nemo
The Neanderthal's co-founder, and 6 string wizard was born and raised in Novi Sad, Serbia. When he's not busy touring with Neanderthal Alien Nemanja performs solo, with tabla master Niti Ranjan, and with his band Verstärker.

Vocals - Dean Bowman
A most accomplished vocal artist that has been associated with the work of Don Byron, Lester Bowie, Uri Cain, Jane Bunnet, Dewey Redman, Elliot Sharp. He has toured extensively, among others with John Scofield, Charlie Hunter, Steve Coleman, Meshell Ndegeocello, and Screaming Headless Torsos.

Drums - Bernt Nellen
Has preformed with to many bands to mention and all over the world including Africa, Brazil, the United States and Europe. here are just a few, Ethiopian band Jump to Addis, avant-garde big band IKKI, Man Bites Dog, Bernie's Lounge and Serbian Guitar virtuoso Branko Trijc.

Percussion - Steve Mitchell
Performed, recorded, and toured the US, Brazil and Europe with bands as different as Bernie's Lounge (NL), Govinda (LA) ReBirth Brass Band (New Orleans), and C-mon and Kypski (NL) Mitchell has been saving lives and reeking havoc with Prasad since 1989. No objects are spared a punishing by his hands.

Dean Bowman:
A most accomplished vocal artist, Dean Bowman has been
associated with the varied work of Don Byron
(Existential Dred, Bug Music), Lester Bowie (Brass
Fantasy, The Odyssey of Funk and Popular Music), Uri
Caine (Primal Light, Goldberg Variations), Jane
Bunnett (Ritmo plus Soul), Dewey Redman, Stanley
Cowell (Spirituals and Dedications), and Elliott Sharp
(Blues For Next), among others. He has toured
extensively, among others with Charlie Hunter, Kelvyn
Bell, D.D. Jackson, Reggie Workman, Steve Coleman,
MeShell Ndegeocello, and Screaming Headless Torsos. Beginning March 2006 Dean will tour Europe and Asia as lead vocalist for John Scofield in support of Scofield's new album Thats What I Say- JS plays the music of Ray Charles

Hailed by the LONDON GUARDIAN as "soulful,
charismatic, and technically brilliant...a star," he
is renowned for his "rumbling baritone and
heart-peeling falsetto...a showstopper" (VILLAGE
VOICE). He most recently recorded with the Stone
Brothers, the Torsos, and Rael Wesley Grant and the
Drunken Immortals. Schooled in the traditional Black
spirituals and gospel music by his mentors John Paxton
and Dr. James Mumford, Dean developed his jazz
vocabulary under the wings of David Baker and Barry
Harris. He soon after joined the Black Rock Coalition
and established relationships with David Fiuczynski
and Don Byron, with whom he would later record.

He performs solo, in duo with vocalist Patrizia
Ferrara, and in duo with Nikolaj Hess, with his trio
Soul Trilogy, and funk trio TriFunkTory. He also
tours with Screaming Headless Torsos, continuing a
relationship that dates to 1991. Dean is also an
accomplished songwriter and lyricist, penning works
for his groups, Neanderthal Alien, Sharp, Cowell, the Stone Brothers, and the Torsos.
