Near Forever

BandRockAlternative

We are like nothing you ever heard before. As a band, we are fully self-sufficient. Ghandi said "these modern machines only atrophy the limbs of man". Read between the lines, eat what you hunger for and not what they are feeding.

Biography

New York City's Near Forever are a POWER QUAD, with a blend of indie rock, progressive, and soulcore.
Near Forever have released 2 commercial recordings, their self-titled debut album which was quickly collected by their fans, and the "Few and Far Between" EP. produced by Dug McGuirk (Jennifer Lopez, Stabbing Westward, 2 Skinee J's). The "Few and Far Between" EP was distributed to their fan base upon request, it was a huge success. With this 'promo', their fan base expanded and their on-line presence grew.
The "Few and Far Between" EP opened touring opportunities and they gigged around the tri-state area with some of the local fav's at C.B.G.B.'s, the Continental, the Knitting Factory.
Currently, Near Forever is in the studio producing a new full length CD. The CD is taking shape with several guest artists adding sparkle and spice and plenty of aural surprises, it ain't no cookie-cutter, run of the mill pretty boy rock record….it's the real deal!
Near Forever line-up consists of Mike Vignola (guitar), Eric Velasco (bass), Philip Lherisson - Drums (drums) and Randall McFadden (vox).
If you've experienced the live show, you already know what this band Is all about and if you haven’t then you should be ready for a great rock experience.

Intervention

Written By: R.McFadden-B.Weiler-M.Vignola

Take it Back
Or say it again
I’m not sure I understand
I don’t understand

Take it back
Take it back
Or I will keep it and you
You might never see it again
I’ve got a few
On my shelf at home
To remind me, to remind you
Don’t make habits out of pastimes
I’ve been down this road before
I’ve seen the fork at the end of that road less traveled
So crowded, you can keep it.

Take my hand or hit me as hard as you can
Don’t just stand there like an asshole
I’ve got something for you to keep on your wall
You can keep it
Against better judgment
I
I have been right here with my hammer
Waiting in your house of mirrors
Or waiting for a better metaphor
With a dead pen in the bottom of a bottle
One that’s been empty for years
God Damn it why did we waste the time we needed on
Things we didn’t want, such a waste of breath

She says I drink to much
She says enough
Thats not blood thats rust from the pig iron in my gut
Haven’t we met before?
Screaming at walls
I am still screaming
Against better judgement

Life’s to short for missapropriation
We will pay for those of us who did not pay attention
There’s no cure for your excuses
The needle is skipping

I have tried to keep my shoes tied
Be my brother’s keeper
Touch my hand to the wall at night
Like the song said
At least I thought it did

Take my hand or hit me as hard as you can
Don’t just stand there like a stranger

There’s a felt tip marker on a brown paper bag
That’s all I’ve got for you staining my fingers black

Haven’t we met before?
Screaming at walls
I am still screaming.

Start Over

Written By: R.McFadden-B.Weiler-M.Vignola

With one finger on the trigger
Backed against a wall
Here its kill or be killed
Don't ask Questions
How did this happen
Why am I here now?
I don't want to die here
Dying to get out

When blood oils the machine
Should we tear the whole thing down?
Start over
I feel like I'm choking on someone else's words
Just start over

I find this all peculiar
In an unfamiliar town
I'm here to set you free
By burning you down
Why should you be grateful?
For the bombs and the loss
Bullets don't lie here
Just Politicians

When blood oils the machine
Should we tear the whole thing down?
Start over
I feel like I'm choking on someone else's words
Just start over

When failure is not an option
It's now or not at all
I'm sorry I don't understand your words
As the blood paints the wall tonight
I have died a thousand times here
If I've lived at all
I'm only following orders
It's not my fault

I asked for an educationThey handed me a gun
They said stamp out evil
Make us proud son
But I can't tell the difference
There's sand is in my dreams
I shake from the silence
I can still hear the screams
If I never leave here
If I'm buried in this place
To be Remembered as I am now
Crying to wash the blood off my face

When blood oils the machine
Should we tear the whole thing down?
Start over
I feel like I'm choking on someone else's words
Just start over

As I lay there waiting
Tied to a chair
Oh the things I could have said
With that last breath of air

When blood oils the machine
Tear it all down

Imperative

Written By: R.McFadden-B.Weiler-M.Vignola

I've come to recognize
I'm all alone
It took me a long time
To let go

If No one watches over
No one waits for you
Its to easy to pretend
This is not a means it's the end

I want to feel alive
Discover something new
Then run home to write it all down
Before the day is through

I do not live for dying
I do not live for you
With so much love to give
Before you go take some with you
Look deep in my eyes
No deeper still

There is only this life
Such a short time
And I am just fine
With unclouded eyes
I am all alone
And I am just fine

Everyone of us is going to die
Slip into the night
Everything you know will flicker like a light
Each moment finite
There is no need to hide
1. I am just fine
Live every second
Before its taken from you
And before you go take a good look around
And When you say goodnight

like it's the last time
Touch my face with yours
That's how I pray
Those who are goneThe things we've done
Sing Hallelujah

until the end
until the end
Until Nothing.
