Bio

Necromance was formed in August 2004 by siblings Jeff Teets (guitar) and Sarah Teets (vocals) along with good friend Kalin Schweizerhof (drums). Shortly thereafter, guitarist John Wesolowski was added into the mix. Unfortunately, Kalin was forced to step aside, so good friend of the band Nick Andreas stepped in on drums. The band spent the fall of 2004 and early 2005 rehearsing, making their live debut on March 13th, 2005. Several shows followed, and over the summer of 2005 the band recorded their official demo CD, a collection 8 songs. More shows followed in the fall of 2005, opening for ex-Dokken guitarist George Lynch in November. Around this time, the band met future bassist Chad Hontz, who would be temporarily filling the bass slot. The band ended 2005 on a high note, with their own show at Allentown's Crocodile Rock Cafe. In early 2006, the band said farewell to drummer Nick Andreas, though no official replacement was announced. Two acoustic shows followed, but Nick agreed to come back for a special show opening for thrash legends Overkill, one of the band's most succesful shows. It was after this show that bassist Chad Hontz announced his official induction in the band. In May of 2006 the band played a special show with friend Josh Kenusky on drums. A final show was played in July of 2006 with Nick Andreas, which marked the end of an era, playing a 2 hour show highlighting their repertoire. An extensive break followed from July 2006 until January of 2007. In January 2007 the band announced the welcoming of original drummer Kalin Schweizerhof back to the groups ranks. The band then spent the next several months rehearsing as much as possible. On June 4th the band made a glorious return opening for metal legend Doro Pesch and Chris Caffery at Crocodile Rock, at which the band recieved a grand reception. Several more dates followed, including June 26th at the Cementon Fair, June 29th at the Sterling Hotel, and July 11th at Northampton Community Days. A few additional shows followed at The Sterling Hotel, including a slot in the True Metal America festival opening for UK metal band, Raven. The band is currently running stronger than ever in 2008. At this point in the game, Necromance have become the Lehigh Valley's Premier Melodic Metal Band.
