This is a wildly varied in style, but strangely interesting recording from this italian group who at times sound like early Oyster band and other times like a traditional outfit.Musically, they're at acoustic end of the spectrum (with accordion, mandolin, acoustic guitar and bouzouki)with the bass and drums providing the drive.The lyrics, all in Italian(with English translations)deal with unemployment, corruption and the loss of freedoms in their home country, and the vocals have an angry edge to them.
Englishman Ian lawther pops in on number of tracks playing bag and lowland pipes, and solos on a couple of tracks.Not the most accessible of recordings, but still an interesting example of how italian groups are using the roots of their own music to deal with modern problems"
