"Talented and creative" describes these guys, says Inside Connection Magazine, in an article about NYC's most talented bands. Billboard Magazine describes their music as having “Appealing themes and grooves” as well as “good imagery”. Bridging the gap between rock bands past and present, NEED brings passion not only to their lyrics and vocals but to their instrumental performances as well. Their catchy songs and innovative sound has won them top song out of 50,000 on as well as making the Top 50 chart at They have also received an Honorary Mention Award for being amongst the top finalists in the 2006 Billboard Songwriting Contest for their song “Inside”. Since their debut they have continued to garner mass acclaim performing at various major venues and festivals, as well as appearances on T.V. and radio rotation. Brian Eisenpresser’s music transcriptions and video lessons have been featured in Guitar World Magazine. In addition, members Dan Walsh, Dan Cassidy, and Brian Eisenpresser have recorded and toured with various up and coming and major label artists as well.

Their new self titled "NEED" EP will be followed by a full length album release in Fall 2007. While the new EP showcases their more pop rock side, the full length will have elements of their heavier, progressive past as well as some new innovative surprises. The EP was recorded and mixed by Grammy Award winning producer Nick Cipriano (Dream Theater, Erasure, Dee Snider), at Beatstreet recording studios in NYC and was mastered by Steve Kadison at Sony Music Studios NYC. Brian had met Nick while both were performing together at Carnegie Hall for pianist/guitarist Joshua Seth's "Bang Your Head To Liszt" which featured Brian on the guitar and Nick on the drums.

NEED has been released independently on 505 Records and is currently available for purchase at and will also be available on i-tunes soon.

With a new record on the way, NEED is planning an intensified marketing campaign including radio, trade publications, retail outlets, as well as numerous music related websites. As the buzz grows, keep a watch out for this emerging band as great things are expected to come.
