Née Née

After forming two rock bands (one which won MTV’s local best local band of the year), Née Née met up with producer and guitarist Brent Paschke (Spymob, N.E.R.D.) to record a solo album.
“ I wanted to record an album that encompassed everything I loved: the live, solid presence of real instruments crafted with the textures of electronic drums, sounds, and samples. Brent as a guitarist and producer was the missing piece to the puzzle. I couldn’t have asked for a better recording. We chose songs that had infectious melodies and chord voicings that also created a whole vibe together for the album.”

“Songs are written organically -- just a guitar, a melody, and a lyric -- and whether or not it's working at that point, in that raw, naked state, is immediately clear. Either it's a great song or it's not, and no amount of heavy-handed production is going to change that." says Née Née. "After arranging a song, we grab our instruments and head into the studio. The song knows what it needs and it tells you when you're on the right track (no pun intended).”

“I feel grateful for those that contributed musically to this album. We have truly worked with some of the best minds in music this last year.” Throughout the making of the album, Née Née and Brent enlisted the talents of musical greats such as:, Printz Board (Black Eyed Peas), John Fields (Pink, Mandy Moore, Andrew W.K., Har Mar Superstar), Jimmy Anton (Greazy Meal, Johnny Lang), Tommy Barbarella (Prince and the New Power Generation), and Eric Fawcett (Spymob, N.E.R.D), to name a few.

On stage, audiences are being captivated by the voice and vision of an accomplished musician with true rock ‘n roll mystique. The diversity and range of Née Née’s vocals and song collection are the elements that make her so distinct.

With a stunning live band consisting of Née Née, Brent Paschke, John Olson, live drums and bass, the orchestration of loops and samples creates a whole new path for the rock-electric sound.

“We are big vintage and sound junkies. The quality of an instument, amp, or pedal is essential in our eyes to recreate the sound of the album...and just because we are very picky.”
