Lyrics

Like A Rainbow

Written By: Neil Morrissey

You and me are flyes buzzing, sitting up in this tree
its kinda nice, just saying nothing and talking with looks and smiles
about the kinds of things, that make us wanna ask no questions and take no time to think

you're like a rainbow, so colorful and you pull my gray away
you're like a rainbow, so colorful and you pull my gray away

funny thing, i kinda like it humming with nothing to sing
just you and me, sitting and smiling and k-i-s-s-i-n-g
its the kind of thing that makes us want to ask no questions and take more time to be

you're like a rainbow, so colorful and you pull my gray away
you're like a rainbow, so colorful and you pull my gray away

you and me, we're flyes buzzing sitting up in this tree
its kinda nice, it makes me wanna ask no questions and take my own advice

you're like a rainbow, so colorful and you pull my gray away
you're like a rainbow, so colorful and you pull my gray away
you're like a rainbow, so colorful and you pull my gray away
you're like a rainbow, so colorful and you pull my gray away

Love Of A Dog

Written By: Neil Morrissey

Nobody thinks I'm as cool as my dog does
He's just happy when I walk through the door
I'm just trying to realize, what I am in his eyes
Cause the love of a dog will only get you so far.

Nobody ever wants to pick me in gym class
but I've been practicing and trying real hard
I'm still trying to figure out, what it is they're all about
Cause practicing and trying will only get you so far.

Every now and then, I like to beg the questions
Which way is up, and how far's down?
Cause I've been in love, I've been enraged,
I've been the jerk, half my age
And widening my knowledge base
Didn't take me to any deeper place

But you, you were the one who could see right through me
through all my arrogance, and all of my charms
But you're still trying to comprehend, if the break was worth the bend
Cause seeing right through me never got you too far.

Every now and then, I catch myself again
Trying to document this story from the end
Cause we were in love, we were enraged
I was a jerk and you were crazy
And seven years of passion play, couldn't fill the deepest stage

But you, you were the one.
I know, I know, I know, I know I said that but
just give me half a chance to tell you truth
I guess we started out in paradise, and ended up in seperate lives
And seeing right through that only got us too far
Then the love of our dog could only get us so far.
