"Live in the now", those are the words that Neil Peters lives, writes and performs by. Born and raised in Houston, Texas. Neil once enjoyed performing Rock n Roll and heavy metal, but it was the collaboration of his influences and his roots that has brought him success in "Progressive Country". Neil has written over 500 songs and his debut album, Dream on has sold over 10,000 copies. His fresh style has landed him a great deal of success such as opening for major acts like Mark Chestnut, Tracy Bird and David Ball.
You can compare Neils sound to George Strait, Clint Black and The Eagles. With three children and tireless dedication to his dream, Neil has plenty of inspiration to incorporate into his lyrics. His lyrics find a way to touch the lives of the business man to the hardworking farmer.
Neils sophomore album is expected to be released this year entitled, Almost an Angel. One of the tracks, I cant leave without you, is a love ballad written for his wife Christy Peters who is a great source of inspiration to Neil. A second track from Almost an Angel is, Dream On. This heartbreaking song conveys the message of a man who loses his wife, and the difficulties you go through when losing the love of your life. This song is creative with its waltz-like rhythm.
As well as being a lyricists and vocalist, Neil is an actor. Plans of big screen debuts are in the making for one of his music videos. At that moment youll see Neil demonstrating his full potential.
