"Nemecyst Live Review – Pivo Pivo, Glasgow 21/9/13"

Main support act to ACODA on the night were highly talented, Glasgow based, melodic masters of metalcore, Nemecyst...and it was another fine choice for the night if I do say so myself! More suited to the main act than the two bands that had appeared on the Pivo Pivo stage previously (and a perfect foil for ACODA), these guys graced the assembled ears of the masses with some pretty powerful, and finely tuned melodic metal. From the sweeping guitar riffs, to the soaring vocals, Nemecyst have all the points on the score cards needed to take a band to the next level. I especially liked how well written both the songs, and the lyrics, seemed to be for a band who are still relatively new to the game (having formed only in 2010) this isn't a band just playing metal for the fuck of it, this is a well-oiled machine that sounds like it has had a massive amount of blood sweat and tears added to the mix before the finished product was brought to us. These guys have already been snapped up by Radicate Records and going on this performance alone, and the response from the crowd, the label got themselves an absolute cracker of a band on the roster. They have a new EP coming out soon so look out for it, alternatively keep yer eyes on the Hellfire page as we will no doubt have a shout-out on the page as soon as the release date for it drops, as we are keen to get a copy for the Hellfire collection ourselves! - New Hellfire Club Glasgow

Nemecyst are an Alternative/Melodic Metalcore outfit from Glasgow, Scotland
Originally formed in 2010, the Nemecyst hit the ground running - quickly generating performing material and supporting local bands in their formative years. The group home-produced a demo in 2012 of this early material – During this time in a creative setting such as this, Nemecyst had begun the writing process for their first major EP project. In May 2013, their ambitions for this project were realised, as they signed their first record deal with the newly formed Radicate Records.

In August 2013, Nemecyst worked with renowned producer Nick Scholey (whose previous production credits include Yashin and Lower than Atlantis) to generate their debut EP release via Radicate - entitled "Our Burdens Will Bury Us". With this EP, the band aim to set a new benchmark for what can be achieved both in technical ability and choice song-writing.

On the 7th of October 2013, Nemecyst released their debut music video “Through Blind Eyes”. One week later, “Our Burdens Will Bury Us” was released for digital download - The band are currently actively promoting the EP at live events throughout Scotland.
