Mix a dash of Moroccan spice, a twist of funky French chic, a good dose of London life and a natural ear for music and you get 5 foot 11 inches of pure gold, Neness Gold!

A singer, songwriter and self-taught multi-instrumentalist (keyboard, drums, bass and guitar), Neness has written over 160 songs, self-produced in her bedroom studio. Highly versatile, her styles range from pop to dance to soulful and mellow tunes.

Her music is commercially catchy, but with an edge that reflects her origins and many musical influences. Her songs are characterised by melody and signature harmonies. Sometimes her songs will just make you want to get up and dance, sometimes they will make you want to chill and at times they will touch your soul.

Born in France, of Moroccan origin, Neness lives in London.

INFLUENCES...

Neness grew up inspired and empassioned by the American soul singers of the 70s and 80s, while also drawn to the exotic beats of Morocco through her North African parentage.

Some of her influences include Earth Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker, Take 6, Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson, Sade, Soul II Soul and George Duke.

AND NOW...

After a period of prolific songwriting, Neness Gold has finally emerged from her bedroom studio to breathe some fresh air and to connect with her audience.

Neness Gold is also keen to work with artists looking for new songs, either from her existing catalogue of 160 songs or to write new material to a set brief.

PASSIONS AND INTERESTS:

Aside from a burning passion for music, Neness is a relentless student of life, who loves traveling and experiencing diverse cultures. She enjoys cooking for friends (especially Moroccan specialities!), fashion and world cinema. One of the causes closest to her heart is to help make education compulsory in Africa.
