Neon Avian are an Electro New Wave band, with members hailing from Geraldton and Perth.
Neon Avian started out as a small project at a friends house, producing rough recordings by themselves. They are currently working on their first demo CD, producing, composing and recording it using their own abilities they have obtained throughout their musical experiences.
The band consists of Cohen Simpson, Greg Townend, Wade Mustoe and Wayne Smith, all young musicians that play a variety of instruments. They all have different influences including Post-Punk and New Wave although, the most prominent artist that comes into mind is New Order. Their first song they released independently, 'Wings Aren't Working', has already been successful, getting on the Apple iTunes Store as a stand alone single for purchase. The song also has been submitted for Wami Song of the Year 2010.
