"Top 15 Unsigned Music Artists"

~Neon Night~ is masterfully stripped down rock n’ roll that rips out raw music energies of rock, punk, garage and Britpop. Their presence is lively, straightforward, ‘in your face’ rock music!

FORKSTER thoroughly enjoyed ~Neon Nights~ listen and foresees a real good run for these rockers and I definitely tell you not to miss this band live!

Musicianship Breakdown:
Guitar – Nasty yet smoothly, edgy riffs with thrilling early punk flair!
Drums – Hammering mighty stick actions that were exciting!
Lead Vocals – With Blondie-esque tones, attitude drawn was “Spot on” and really was digging these vocals! - Forkster

"Introducing Non Night"

Forget Dannii Minogue albums, Neon Night are a female fronted garage rock band from the North East of England.

They write refreshingly straight-forward songs about sex and dickheads amongst other things; singing the blues in a punk rock fashion. There’s distinctively lusty vocals, catchy riffs and noisy boisterous drums.

Try Never Been Kissed, which is a catchy-as-hell, scantily clad tune telling the tragic tale of a girl who hasn’t met boy not even for a quick snog, a sad but true story with a chorus that kicks like a mule.

North East? Garage Rock? Hell, yeah. Time to take the Corvette to Seaburn methinks… - Mad Mackerel

"Band To Check Out - Neon Night"

It's been over a decade since the record buying public remembered that garage-rock is actually really good and snappy guitar heroes like The White Stripes, The D4, The Libertines, The Hives and so on began to sell records. The charts may have moved on, but at this point in time the top 40 is less representative of the public's actual taste in music than it's ever been, and barely a week goes by without us hearing from loads of new garage and punk bands. Naturally many are awful, by definition most are derivative, yet an awful lot of them are very good. Neon Night are from the North-East of England and describe themselves as so new they're practically foetal.

It hasn't taken them long to hammer out some tunes though, and even at this demo stage (rawness is often a virtue in these circles, but a little studio boost would lift these songs that extra inch) they're cracking through songs like the Energizer bunny after a dozen packs of Pro Plus, especially on 'Tuned Out'. 'Never Been Kissed', although embryonic, has the makings of a classic with great timing and an ace riff, the brief snap of a chorus is like the cherry on top. 'Holding Dynamite' is the one that will appeal to fans of that aforementioned rawness, it's as much grunge as it is garage. They may still be in utero (and a little In Utero) but following the usual gestation period we can expect a very healthy newborn band before too long. - The Sound of Confusion

Bio

Neon Night are a garage rock band born out of frustration boredom and the love of loud music. We are based in the North East of England, specifically North Yorkshire which is not the traditional birth place for garage rock. We have looked outside our rural county for inspiration to the industrial sounds of Teesside and the diverse music of Newcastle and its surrounding areas, as well as drawing inspiration from the US and continental loud and raw post punk revival.

Influences include The Ramones, QOTSA, The Hives, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Stooges to name a few.

We have worked hard to develop a raw rock and roll sound inspired by the ever evolving Garage Rock scene, creating a hard blues based assault which employs the use of fuzzbox distorted guitars paired with heavy and authentic drumming. The North East have a secret weapon that is little documented, we have a history of producing lo-fi confrontational female fronted bands, naively going where many have gone before.

Neon night are currently represented by barristers Jaccard and Gross and working with management Industrial epics. They are planning a European tour and working on their first album. Neon Night expect to be really busy in 2014.

All music is currently self released on front woman Becky's own DIY label Rollerboot Records.
