Bio
Neotopia formed at the end of 2007, with the musicians coming from a wide array of musical backgrounds and indeed from a wide geographical catchment spread about the midlands and Wales. Each contributing in equal share to this band’s new eclectic playground of colourful moods and sounds.
Our set is continually changing as we create fresh new songs. The ideas continue to come thick and fast, taking their form as anything from groovy nu-jazz, electronic pop, hip-hop or spacey ‘krautrock’.
Recent appearances have included The Bearded Theory Festival in Derbyshire, Nozstock, Groe Gathering, The Sonic Rock Solstice Festival and several large free parties. We also frequent numerous popular Midlands and Welsh borders venues like The Bridges. 2009 wound up with a Live At The HIVE Xmas Special being aired by BBC Radio Shropshire. 2010 has already kicked off with a live on-air session and interview for 'The Friday Session' BBC Hereford & Worcester's popular radio show!
