"NERO ZERO FILM HOLLYWOOD REHEARSAL"

Canadian hard rockers Nero Zero have filmed one of their rehearsals at one of their North Hollywood practice sessions. The video is for the killer opening track, King Of Rock City, from their self-titled debut CD, which was released in November. The band previously issued a free download of the track Super Freak in October and it quickly became the largest download ever released on the RockStar Weekly website. Super Freak is a punked up version of the Rick James classic dance track. The song continues to be available as a free download exclusively from RockStar Weekly.

The first single F**king A Rock Star will be re-issued in 2010 and will appear in the upcoming short horror flick Hide & Go Seek. The song was written by the band with La Toya Jackson and Jeffre' Phillips, and was mixed by Frank Gryner (Rob Zombie, Tommy Lee, Powerman 5000).

The CD is a powerhouse of metal, rock and punk mixed in with more swagger than Gene Simmons could ever muster up.

"CD REVIEW - NERO ZERO"

NERO ZERO is much more than just another independent rock band - a realization readily observed after listening to the first few tracks from their self-titled freshman release, NERO ZERO. NERO ZERO is an album full of great tracks. - Paul Day, Founder of AvenueHiFi.com

"NERO ZERO GIVE ROCK N' ROLL ASS KICKING IN LA"

By far this is the best live band I have seen in a very long time. If there is any justice in the music industry, Fucking A Rock Star and Breathe will be full-blown hits by next year.

NERO ZERO is truly a ground breaking band.

"CD REVIEW NERO ZERO, NERO ZERO"

Review: Nero Zero - Nero Zero
Written by Darbi Dunn on Wednesday, 26 May 2010 21:57

Nero Zero
Originally from Kingston, Ontario, but currently hanging out in Los Angeles, comes a magnificent rock band, consisting of two brothers; Diz Thomas (vocals), Sick (guitars), best friend, Rikki Twist (bass) joined by Cory Hartless (drums) and they call themselves NERO ZERO. Their self titled album, mixed and mastered by Frank Gryner (Rob Zombie, Tommy Lee, The Crystal Method) brought together not only incredible talent, but also captivating tracks. Like most of us rockers, they also do not like to buy a CD for only one good song or a single hit, but want every song to rock, so, that is exactly what they created in this new album.

I was hooked already when the first track King Of Rock City started to play! I didn’t have to hit replay because it stuck in my head as did track two which really tells it like it is with girls and rock stars….I could feel Diz’s vocals in Breath and the fantastic drums with heavy metal riffs on the guitars throughout this very powerful song. All rock albums should have a ballad, and Nero Zero mastered it with Fade To Black And White. If everyone could listen to this song while stuck in traffic, there would be no more road rage, there would be smiles and inner joy that all music lovers feel when they hear a perfect composition! And who doesn’t love a good cover tune? Nero Zero nailed Super Freak!

You can really hear Frank Gryner’s influence all over this album; they chose the right man for the job indeed! Nero Zero’s self titled album amalgamates rock with talent in each and every track and is very addicting. The lyrics are clear, the instruments were played with expertise and or those of you out there with an addictive personality, this is a good addiction to have! I am already looking forward to their next album! - Rockstar Weekly

Bio

NERO ZERO is a Canadian Rock band conceived by three eccentric Kingston, Ontario born musicians: vocalist “Diz Thomas,” his guitarist brother “Sick” and bassist “Rikki Twist.” The band decided to relocate to Los Angeles after the completion of a U.S. tour and promptly began the creation of their self-titled debut. NERO ZERO began writing and tracking the CD in their Santa Monica studio with additional recording support coming from Greg Pineda at All Media in Westlake Village.
Soon after the completion of the sessions, fellow Canadian and monster mixer Frank Gryner (Rob Zombie, Tommy Lee, The Crystal Method, Nickelback, Powerman 5000) met up with the guys at a well-known Sunset Blvd coffee shop and instantly jumped onboard to co-produce and mix the album.
Once Frank had added his magic, the boys opened their Hollywood drum auditions.Without success, they again looked back to Canada and found Toronto area drummer “Cory Hartless.” The NERO ZERO line up was now complete.

“Capturing all the force and power of today’s Rock, the impact of the NERO ZERO self-titled first release is reminiscent of “life changing” debuts from legendary bands such as AC/DC or Guns N’ Roses.
Dan Savoie – Rockstar Weekly Magazine – Vancouver Canada

The guys in NERO ZERO stormed the Los Angeles live stage performing many of the famous landmark venues including The Whisky A Go-Go, The Troubadour, Ventura Theatre, The Roxy Theatre, The Mint, and Universal City. Hype surrounding the NERO ZERO recordings soon was out, yet at this time NERO ZERO remains independent and releases under their own production moniker, RTR Entertainment, which is digitally distributed through major outlets worldwide.

U.S.A., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, England, Poland and Israel are all countries which have begun commercial radio airplay of Nero Zero. Countless college and internet radio stations, globally, also have added Nero Zero to their playlists and programs.

“This is incredible Canadian content and fits right into the K-Rock 105.7FM format”
Doug Elliott, Operations Manager
K-ROCK 105.7 FM, Kingston Canada

“This Nero Zero cd is fantastic; I can’t get it out of my player right now, I like every track.”
Paul “The Axeman” Martin - On Air Personality
The Rock FM, Auckland New Zealand

“Kick-ass! This album is like a tour-de-force of rock classics in the making!!!”
Simon Frost - On Air Personality
96.7FM Phoenix Radio, Calderdale UK

Nero Zero is the most requested band on Rock Star Radio and, in my opinion, the best unsigned band in the world.

Sindicated Canadian Radio Program

From the infamous Los Angeles radio program “The Frosty, Heidi & Frank Show” spun the wildly popular subscription radio program “Heidi & Frank Show”. No longer under the thumb of KABC, Heidi & Frank began using Nero Zero in their show open and throughout the radio program. This resulted in massive national exposure for Nero Zero.

Julia Henry, a Creative Supervisor at Fox Sports Television and POC Media, passed by an open studio door at a Westlake California Studio. What she heard inside was an early mix of the NERO ZERO debut cd. She immediately sensed the commercial potential and when the boys in NERO ZERO invited Julia in for a listen, the rest was history. Since then, Nero Zero has been heard by massive audiences during live stadium sporting events across the US including home games from the NFL’s Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers to the MLB Cincinnati Reds, to the NCAA Florida Gators Football. Worldwide television network plays include: Fox, Speed TV, Versus, IndieCar Series, NHL On Fox, NASCAR and ESPN.
(see below for a more detailed list)

Nero Zero has now taken the show on the road in the U.S., Canada, and New Zealand.
