Bio

It has been said that big
things come in small packages.
This unassuming little lady is a
mother load of talent. Wrapped
within her 5’ 4” frame is a creative
giant. Nesa Wright was born
to an artistically rich gene pool.
Her father musically gifted, an
aunt who has choreographed,
modeled and danced professionally
for more than 20 years, and
a mother who holds an English
degree is only a short list. It is no
wonder how she became the
author, singer, songwriter, actress
and speaker the world is blessed
to be discovering now.
To be in her presence is like
sitting in the eye of a Tornado.
You can feel the whirlwind of
uninhibited energy and power
around you, but everything within
the sound of her voice is as still
and peaceful as an undisturbed
pond. At the age of ten, Nesa
began a singing career with a
grand victory in the Lil’ Miss LA
County Beauty Pageant. Not
only did her vocal talents score
her the crown, but as a result, she
was signed to an artist development
contract by the age of
twelve, preparing her for her next
accomplishment. She went on to
be one of the original lead vocalists
in the AOC Band - of which
all the members at the time were
under the age of 18. This full
pieced band performed at venues
like the Wiltern Theater with
greats such as Jame Earl Jones
and Freeda Payne.
Eventhough her journey into
acting began with a McDonald’s
commercial at the age of 5, it was
not until the AOC Band dissolved
that she went on pursuing her
acting career. Appearing in small
parts on Moesha, The Steve Harvey
Show and the movie based on
the true story of South Central
LA’s ‘Freeway Rick’, ”100 Kilos”,
as ‘Nancy', Nesa is only getting
started. Keep your eyes and ears
open ladies and gentlemen.
Whether your mode of entertainment
is on the screen, the
stage, or in a book...she is coming!
