Bio

Puerto Rican Actor-Comedian Nestor Rodriguez was born and raised in New York City. Growing up, Nestor's unorthodox way of looking at life made him a regular in the Dean’s office and eventually earned him his own personal stint at boarding school. He brings his hilarious and vast life experience to his stand up comedy—always delivering a perfect mixture of observational humor and a well-versed appreciation of cross-cultural idiosyncrasies.

Winner of this year’s KTLA “Find Me A Comic!” competition, in association with the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, Nestor performed multiple times on the KTLA Morning News. He opened for Jon Lovitz and got to perform at the Jon Lovitz One-Year Anniversary Show taping, along with other notable comedians… including Judy Tenuda!

Nestor has also performed with many outstanding and established comics including: Alex Reymundo (Showtime’s Pajaso Comedy Slam), Angela Johnson (MAD T.V.), Bobby Lee (MAD T.V.), Carlos Mencia (Comedy Central’s Mind of Mencia,) and Johnny Sanchez (MAD T.V.). Nestor has also worked with Joey Medina (Original Latin King of Comedy), Mike Robles (creator of the Emmy award winning-Que Locos and Ruperto Vanderpool (HBO's "Bad Boys of Comedy.”) He’s performed at clubs on both coasts; in LA at The Comedy Store, all locations of The Improv, as well as The Laugh Factory. In New York City he’s performed at Caroline’s, The Comic Strip and Gotham.

Film credits include "Acts of Worship," in the supporting role of Anthony. This film, which he also produced, received three Independent Spirit Award nominations, including “Best Independent Film”, and was an Official Selection at the Sundance Film Festival. Nestor played Detective Ramirez in the Indie horror flick titled "On Bloody Sunday” which was directed by Christian Sesma.

Some of Nestor’s TV credits include hosting gigs on
HGTV's "The Fix" and TV Guide Television. On NBC's drama "ER,” he played the role of Johnny, the injured and annoyed Latino (which wasn’t really much of a stretch) he was seen as a reporter on Lifetime’s most watched made for TV movie “The Pregnancy Pact” and most recently cameo's on Showtime’s “Look” and SiTv's Latino 101.
