Bio
Netra Young, a multitalented singer and musician, began to recognize her call into the work of Gods ministry at the age of seven. Her vocal abilities, clearly anointed by God, minister to the hearts of those who need a word from the Lord and a spiritual uplifting. She proclaims that her call of duty is as a psalmist who leads Gods people into an intimate place of worship and a dynamic praise that God will inhabit.
Netra brings a new definition to music, in that it is undeniably heartfelt, liberating and a life changing experience. Her music style is a mix of dance, techno and inspirational. NETRAs new CD is entitled LIBERATION. This project is very diverse yet inspirational to all those who give it a listen. Please check out one of the videos to one of her songs entitled All Over Again on www.iamnetra.com and You Tube.
Netra has performed with Ben Tankard and Tribe of Benjamin, ministered in song for worldwide televangelist Jesse Duplantis and Myles Munroe, opening performer in a concert featuring national recording artist P.J. Morton. Netra placed among the top 20 finalists in the national Sundays Best competition with more than 5,000 contestants. She was the winner at the Sickle Cell Foundations Showtime at the Apollo Birmingham Style in 2009. Since 1985, Netra has served as minister of music, musician, choir director, and youth worker for various ministries. She feels that it is important that people know that what is most important to her is Gods happiness with me and His purpose being fulfilled in my life! She believes that given the opportunity to share God's love through music with the world, she will exalt God and serve as an icon of LIBERATION in worship.
