Neverstar

Neverstar has been a long time ambition of founding members, Pieter and Vega. The duo traveled from foreign shores to pursue a dream that has lingered for over 5 years. The band was officially formed, mid 2009, after the founding members relocated from South Africa to the UK.

Armed with a few song ideas and a passion for music Vega and Pieter started to recruit additional band members. Drummer Leigh and bassist Anthony was the first potential members and with a strike of luck they were the perfect fit – let’s be honest that hardly ever happens. The music worked, the chemistry worked, it was a perfect match.

Neverstar self-released their first EP/Demo in February 2011, titled When Dreams Come True. Even though the band was complete newcomers to the inner workings of recording studio and equipment, the EP/Demo was successfully produced, recorded and engineered by the band. When Dreams Come True opens with "Vengeful Hypocrisy", a powerful intro to a first release. Other popular songs includes "Wings of Lust", "It's a Fantasy" and “Rage of Desire”.

The band's signature sound is inspired by classical and symphonic tones mixed with powerful guitars and melodic vocal lines. Neverstar’s music is a mixture of emotion filled with theatrical settings and dark characteristics, amplified by ear splitting yet melodic guitar riffs.

On stage, the band gives an energetic and memorable performance, leaving the audience enchanted and entertained.

The band is currently working on material for a full-length debut album, which will be released in 2012. Neverstar has shown immense progression from humble beginnings. With their remarkable work ethic and sheer determination this band is destined to build a notable and long lasting music career.
