Music is a rare art form that has the ability to break barriers and reach people of all nations. It is the utter essence conveyed by the songwriter and passion demonstrated in the performance of the artist that captures the hearts of its audience. Some are blessed to be a part of both ends of the spectrum. This is where the ministry of New Covenant (NC) comes into play!
NC, VLCM’s own Christian Hip-Hop ministry, is comprised of two gifted members who all know how to ‘hold it down’ for the Lord.
"Gigga", representing ‘Jersey’, is the only female in the group, and does not hold her tongue when it comes the word of God. Her flow is so powerful and raw that you can’t help but give her the respect she most certainly deserves.
Marcus, the slick talking New York native, has got a message for all ‘fake’ Christians: “It’s not a game!” His passion for the Lord is instantly felt by anyone who listens to his words.
Aside from writing and producing their own music, the group is actively involved in the lives of the young adults at Victory, as well as the community. Their high standards are immediately recognized because they practice what they preach!
With two impressive CD’s already in rotation, this group is destined for big things! Having already ministered with the likes of Cross Movement and Four In The Fire, they are ready to proclaim to the world who Christ is through Hip-Hop.

Reason for group getting together:
We officially got together in late 2002, early 2003. We were all members of the United States Air Force, stationed at the same base, and members of the same church-Victory Life Christian Ministries, founded by Pastors Kim & Angela Belle. Under the direction of our pastors New Covenant was born. Shoutouts to J. Daniels A.K.A. “J Roc”, J. Walker A.K.A. “Jay Walk”, A. Guillory A.K.A. “Kinfolk” and J. King A.KA. “King Quality”, who were a part of New Covenant at the “grassroots” level.
With similar testimonies, it was soon discovered why we were brought together. We all shared the same passion for "running the streets", now we all share the same "passion" for Christ and his word.
Matthew 28:19-20 commands that we teach the word of God and that’s exactly what we're doing. Without COMPROMISE! We live in a world that feeds off of negativity and death but there is HOPE. With the media plagued with violence and lust of in all forms, we as radical Christians stand with our peers who are dedicated to a lifestyle that portrays Christ in our actions, words and music.
The Mission: Soul Purpose
To magnify His name! Win souls for The Kingdom!
Mark 16:15 says, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. This is our calling as a believer in the body of Christ. We believe Christ died and was raised by the power of the Holy Spirit. We loyally await his glorious return. We consider this journey as the Pilgrimage to the expected end, Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Vision:
To teach the word of God to our generation through hip-hop in a manner that sparks the fire for uncompromised salvation. We love Christ and love music; and are charged with preaching the HOPE the spirit placed on the inside of us without fear or condemnation of reprisal.
Hip-Hop has been used as a major means of distorting Truth and a perpetuator of pestilence...
