Led by singer, songwriter and guitarist Steve Seva, this trio set the beat in motion that brings the rhythm of the roots back. The Steve Seva Band has a folk rock sound that grooves with passionate guitar and catchy beats. The lyrics remain catchy and the music mellow and cool. They’ve been compared to John Mellencamp and artists like Jack Johnson. Now the vocals aren’t as up to par as these artists before him but Seva presents good vocals and lyrics that connect to the music. To describe this music with a scenario it would appear on a beach near sundown as the water slowly rolls up and down the sea. Calm sound that’s full of emotions. With their latest album “yesterdays gone” being nominated for Na Hoku Hanohano Award for best rock album of the year; they are getting some recognition for their style and original sound.
