New Hots Jazz Orchestra

BandJazz

The New HOTS Jazz Orchestra is a "Little Big Band", which recreates the hot dance and swing tunes of the '20s, '30s, and '40s. Our repertoire includes vintage ragtime, New Orleans-style Jazz, popular hot dance tunes of the "Jazz Age", and classic swing and ballroom (including Latin) dance tunes.

Biography

HOTS has performed professionally throughout the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia region for over 15 years. We have performed for private and corporate parties, weddings and anniversary parties, community concert series, summer wine festivals, and major regional art and cultural events.
We have toured internationally, most recently in Northern Italy in July 2004. We have also toured South Atlantic France in July 2002. We were invited to play for Napier's world-famous Art Deco weekend and toured New Zealand in February 2001. We toured in Paris, Normandy and the Loire Valley in June 1999 and Provence and the Coted'Azur in July 1997. We expect to be invited back to New Zealand in 2007.
