Biography

The likes of Patti Smith and Chrissie Hynde are often echoed by the music of NEW LONDON. Founder Kim Crawford is that strong female presence on stage and in the studio. But, NEW LONDON performs its very own Signature style that is being described as, "A sometimes harsh but always honest look at reality." The Musicians Exchange described Crawford's songs as, "Snappy, guitar driven tunes with strong vocals." The Music Paper, a national publication wrote "Catchy and confident pop-rock with energetic strumming and strong idiosyncratic vocals, leaves you wanting more."

NEW LONDON played many New York City area clubs from 1985 to 1994. Now based in Columbus, Ohio they continue to work target regions such as the Midwest and East Coast, diligently.

In 1997 NEW LONDON released a five song CD that received airplay on WBZX 99.7 The Blitz and WWCD 101.1 both local rock stations in Columbus, Ohio. Their first full length CD release "Oblivious In Oblivion" is available now. Crawford’s ability to surround herself with great musicians is a huge asset. NEW LONDON/ OBLIVIOUS IN OBLIVION

I WISH (a.k.a. SEX)

Take me into your prison
Guide me into your cells
I devised a plan to escape from

Show me why the colors are so bright there
Make me implode, make me explode, make me want to die
So me why the arch of your rainbow is oh so high

Every night I wish I had you in my bed
Every night I wish I had you in my bed
Every night I wish I had you

Wish I had you, Uh

Every night I wish I had you in my bed
Every night I wish I had you in my bed
Every night I wish I had you in my

Food In The Kitchen

NEW LONDON/ OBLIVIOUS IN OBLIVION

FOOD IN THE KITCHEN

All I want is a wish now
Its not like I’m asking for three
I only have one ambition
To get some food in the kitchen tonight

One more round, one more yard
Another holding call pushing me backwards
If only I had the ball
Well I know then I could move forward

And so I walk in the rain
And you know I don’t own an umbrella
I left my Yankees cap home
And so I’m stuck in the downpour, I’m running
