Bio
Flying the flag high for Australian alt country, New Rules For Boats arent afraid of throwing some Perth pop into the mix as well. Brother and sister, Sean and Miranda Pollard are the vocal and lyrical heart of the band with a beautifully arranged harmonic interplay. With Ben Golby recently moving from bass to keys and banjo, combined with the melodic bass of recent addition Dan Grant and the enthusiastic dance driven beats of Joe Derwort, New Rules For Boats lay out music that gets stuck in your head and goes straight to your feet. With Not Impressed and Skips On My Record receiving lots of JJJ spins nationally and heaps of support from the countrys best community stations, New Rules For Boats are going from strength to strength.

Im Your Tenant review Grok Magazine
New Rules impressed with their tightly executed, country-tinged pop tunes and their excellent musicianship. Straight up pop, acoustic ballads, and smatterings of harmonica and accordion all fused together to show that these guys are an exciting, versatile and entertaining band. Live review X-Press Magazine
