News From The Front

News From The Front is a three piece San Diego based punk band. The band thrives on a love for music and an appreciation of the DIY approach to its creative process. Having been on the scene for less than a year now in its current rendition the band (consisting of Dustin Blackwell on lead vocals and bass, Anthony Esparza on drums and vocals, and Steven Oira on guitar and vocals) has played throughout the Southwestern U.S. and is on a constant drive for expansion with plans for a West Coast Tour this Fall.
The band is reminiscent of early punk in its aggressive politically backed vocals mixed in combination with modern melodic punk in its technical and fast paced styling. With their recent release “DRUGS!” the band is on a conquest for expansion. Having set out on a Southwest U.S. tour, completed several radio interviews/appearances, and continued support of their fans through both social networking and at shows the band has no plans on slowing down.
