Bio

"Newton, What you hear is what you get"...

... This might sounds daring, but this recently formed band is very ambitious.

Newton is a 5 piece alternative rock band. Didier (vocals/guitar), Sven (bass) and David (guitar) got together in 2009 and knew what to expect from one another musically when they met Wim (drums) and Danny (keyboards) via auditions and adds. The last two completed the band by the end of that year. Newton is a mixture of indie compositions with slight pinches of pop and rock.

Their roots are their force. As a Belgian band, Newton is powerful no-nonsense music with a strong identity. Didier’s lyrics come with such ease that even unsung, they will feel like music to your ears. The songs (musically and lyrically) are open for personal interpretation. The latter being the overall aim of Newton.

Production and arrangements can be a source of inspiration but the musical spirit is clear: wanting the sound different! The vibe and the spirit are unique and don’t need any comparison.

"Take Me To Your House" is the first single of their debut album, which got airplay in Colombia, Mexico, Japan and the USA. The second single "Kiss And Tell" has been recorded during the summer together with producer Luuk 'Shameboy' Cox and got mastered by Mr. Frank Arkwright (The Smiths, Coldplay, Arcade Fire, ...) in the famous Abbey Road Studios in London. This single got air played on MNM and thereby the band supported the Australian INXS in one of the most beautiful venues in Belgium. Newton's debut album is expected this year. Since you never change a winning team, the album was recorded in La Chapelle studios with producer Luuk Cox, mixed in Temple Studios in Malta and last but not least, mastered at Abbey Road Studios by Frank Arkwright.

Newton is ready to tour Belgium and the world!
