Founded in 2006 by Uke Jackson, the New York Ukulele Ensemble is a group of musicians devoted to playing the ukulele. The thrust of the Ensemble?s music is subversively seductive. The sweet harmonies of the female singers, combined with the zany lyrics of many of the tunes, make listening a complete entertainment experience. Don?t worry if you find yourself bursting into laughter at some of the outrageous songs sung by Uke Jackson and the gang. That?s what?s supposed to happen.
