"Testimony From Youth Group"

I was getting ready for youth group tonight, and my dad came home, and he starts crying (my dad NEVER cries), and he said something was wrong with his heart...my mom starts worrying and decides to call 911...(you should know, my dad has had 2 heart attacks before) anyways, I started crying, because I was SO scared for my dad! On the way to the hospital, I started singing N2N song "Rejoice", and it made me smile! I sang it over and over again in my head, and it gave me hope and comfort! My dad isn’t saved, and I have tried EVERYTHING to help! I really believe this was his FINAL wakeup call! God finally got through to him, so on the way home I had your guy's CD, and I listened to "No Time Like Now", and it made me think of my dad! Anyways...moral of the story is...your guy's song gave me a different perspective in a VERY bad situation! I'm still worried, but I'm not crying, or sad anymore! Thanks...It really helps! So. I thought you might like to hear that story...told ya it was good, but sad!
Keep Rockin For Jesus!

"Youth Forestry Camp Testimony"

You guys are awesome! Your music and sharing from the heart touched many lives at the Youth Forestry Camp! Thank-you for your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and your music that attracted these boys to leave their dorms and come to the concert. There were 21 boys that made a decision to serve the Lord that night, thank-you for being the catalyst to bring them to Christ. May God richly bless you and your ministry and music!

"Big Mac Retreat Testimony"

Hey you guys were amazing out there at the Big Mac winter retreat this past weekend. I loved all of your songs and I didn't want the weekend to end. I think that a lot of the songs that we did were amazing and touched many people. The time that we had on Saturday night was amazing and that Let It Rain song was perfect for the whole thing. I remember when I made that commitment 4 years ago, and I loved every minuet of it. So I know that all those kids and even some adults will cherish that moment forever. As a leader for our youth group is was really cool to see the handful of kids that went up there. It touched all of the leaders that were there. Well I just wanted to say Thank You and your great. Keep up the good work. - Next 2 Nothing Website

Bio

Next 2 Nothing has one goal, to glorify Jesus Christ in everything we do. We love to write and play music but our primary objective is to share Jesus with everyone who crosses our path, both young and young at heart. Next 2 Nothing is Chris Clugh (vocals and guitar), Brodie Hutchins (guitar and vocals), Scott Eckenrode (bass and vocals) and Kevin Okuley (drums and vocals). They began and remain to be part of the worship team of their home church Mount Rock Brethren In Christ Church in Shippensburg, PA.

They have expanded the ministry of their music beyond the walls of their church to playing across the mid-Atlantic region to a broad range of audiences including retreats, youth events, conferences and concerts. They have been included on many festival line ups including Vertical Festival and Winter Blaze where they shared the stage with artists such as The Stellar Kart, Hawk Nelson, DecembeRadio, Rush of Fools and several others. They are on the bill for the 2009 Uprise Fesival including The Newsboys, The Afters and Jonny Diaz.

Next 2 Nothing has received airplay with their song “Rejoice” and the same song was selected to be included on a compilation project called Unified by Grace produced by Quickstar Productions to be released in 2009. They are in the process of recording their highly-anticipated first full-length project which is expected to be released in the spring of 2009. Next 2 Nothing has a schedule of 40 shows booked already for 2009 and several already booked in 2010!

Next 2 Nothing has a passion for youth ministry. Chris Clugh is a full time youth pastor and each member of Next 2 Nothing serves on his youth staff. So, the guys are no strangers to youth retreats and like venues. Whether you want a live show of original music, praise and worship or a great unplugged set, Next 2 Nothing is perfect for your venue. In addition to the music, you will hear the hearts of the guys through their testimonies and interaction.

Chris Clugh is the front man of Next 2 Nothing. While he started as a drummer (and continues to be great at it), he has grown to be a great singer, guitar player and songwriter. His voice and heart are key ingredients to the Next 2 Nothing sound. Chris and his wife Andrea just celebrated their
10th wedding anniversary and have two young sons, Zayin Elijah (4) and Will Taylor (1).

Chris is a graduate of the Shippensburg Area School District. He then attended Huntington University (formerly Huntington College) in Huntington, IN and graduated with a BS in Youth Ministry.

For the past 9 years, Chris has been serving as the full time youth pastor at the Mt. Rock Brethren In Christ Church. He has been involved in youth ministry in some way for nearly 12 years. He loves teens and is passionate about seeing them develop as committed disciples of Jesus. Chris is also the worship leader at the church.

In addition to leading people in worship, he enjoys golf, playing music, hiking, and spending time with his boys.

Brodie Hutchins covers the guitars and backing vocals of Next 2 Nothing. He is also responsible for writing or co-writing many of the Next 2 Nothing songs. His guitar work is an integral part of the Next 2 Nothing sound.

Brodie has been married to Pamela since 1995. “She’s the icing in my Oreo!” They have two children Vivienne (7) and Alex (2) and attend and participate at the Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church.

Brodie is a graduate of Shippensburg Area High School, holds a BA degree from Messiah College in Commercial Art and an MBA from Frostburg State University.

He is the General Manager of the Wirtgen Group’s Vogele America, Inc. "I'm still trying to figure out how an Eric Clapton wannabe ended up as a business geek!"

Brodie has been infatuated with the guitar since birth and had a ukulele as his primary toy until beginning to play seriously in the 1980's. He has played with several bands over the past 20+ years including several pick-up bands during the Messiah College days; M.A.S. (Mutual Admiration Society) and 3 Days Journey. In January of 2008, Brodie left the band 3 Days Journey to focus on Next 2 Nothing. "Pulling double-duty in both bands (Next 2 Nothing and 3 Days Journey) was tough and I really feel like N2N is where God wants me to be.”

When Brodie is not working or playing with Next 2 Nothing he can be found writing songs, collecting guitars, repairing guitars, drinking coffee, serving as a youth leader, riding his Harley-Davidson and spending time with his family.

Every great band has a solid foundation and Scott Eckenrode certainly takes care of the low frequencies for Next 2 Nothing as the bassist and backing vocalist. In addition, he is a degreed audio engineer and assists the sound engineer.

Scott and his wife Amy will celebrate their 5 th wedding anniversary this year. Their son Carter turns two this year and he will be a big brother in February. Scott
