In a music industry saturated with artificial sounding artists, Next Phaze seeks to bring their audience "Back to the Mic" with their debut release.
After perfecting their craft over the last six years, Next Phaze is exploding onto the music scene with a new album and a new, yet familiar sound. Looking to groups like Boyz II Men and New Edition for inspiration, Next Phaze produces vocals that are "all natural" over rhythmic, urban beats. They wants to show the world that real music, real vocals, and real harmonies can still exist in pop mainstream America.
Originally from the Bay Area, J-Ricz, Del, Chris, and Rich have excited crowds all over the US with their smooth harmonies and powerful vocals, at venues such as the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and the Cow Palace in San Francisco. They have also independently released an EP, selling over 2,000 copies, while building a 15,000+ fan base on Myspace.
Recently, Next Phaze won 1st place in EnterXP’s Asian American Pop Star Contest and performed alongside Grammy awardees, All-4-One. Next Phaze is now working on their upcoming debut album “Back to the Mic” which will be released this August 29th 2006, featuring producers William Pyon (2Pac, 3LW), Replay (APL of the Black Eyed Peas), and Claudio Cueni (Boyz II Men, Immature). Their upcoming club single “Hit It Up” features the Bay Area’s Clyde Carson of The TEAM.
