Next to Nothing

Next to Nothing, with its current hard rock line-up, formed in early 2008 and hasn’t stopped writing or playing since. We are looking to make more and more noise in the local music scene as we have built a loyal following that continues to grow as we gain momentum at each show. Those who have seen us live agree that we bring a ton of energy and atmosphere to the stage at every performance. Now that we have a 4 song demo completed, which is attached to this “kit” and can be heard at www.mysapce.com/thisisnexttonothing, we are turning our attention to an EP which we hope to start working on very soon.

Next to Nothing was also profiled by X-103 in 08” and now has a spot on there website, receiving several views. Add that to the hollowed local venues we've played such as Birdy's and Spin, (formerly The Patio) plus our excitement at the challenge of new stages and you have the equation for success. We’re keeping the momentum rolling in O9” and on. See you there.

Next to Nothing draws many influences in our music from early grunge and hard rock to alternative and punk. Our distinct sound is set to heavy guitar and bass rifts with complicated drum beats and grungy vocals. Fans comment on the similarities to national acts such as Seether and the late great, Nirvana. We currently play from a 35 song set list, 15 of which are originals. However, with an ever growing list you never know what we’re libal to pull out. One thing is for sure, original or cover, it’s sure to please.
