"Invitation to Penang Jazz Festival"

NGA TAE (for me) is a very unique and powerful group that I feel the world should hear more about and experience the magic of their sound. For us the reason why we feel strongly about having NGA TAE in our Festival is because the group is different and refreshing.” - Paul Augustin

"Bluesfest Forum"

"Peter Noble gave them a tick in regard to acts not to be missed.
I agree, and viewed their Friday Juke Joint and Sunday Mojo sets.
Another act with a polynesian flavour to lift my festival experience.
Enthralling mix of Maori and electronica.
The Maori people are heavily represented in the lower socio economic statistics.
Nga Tae to me gave a demonstration of a proud race with its unique cultural face.
I found them very atmospheric and spiritual."
- Bluesfest

"Directors Cut"

Nga Tae is one of the top ten performances I have ever seen in my life.” Peter Noble Director Bluesfest - Rhythms Australia's Roots Music Monthly

"Sounds Aotearoa"

I’m always looking to work with the best. I’m also looking for people who play from their cultures.. a band like NgaTae who I was really impressed by recently at the Melbourne World Music Expo, featuring that wonderful pakeha who plays all the amazing Maori wood instruments( Richard Nunns in collaboration with Paddy Free, Horomona Horo and Waimihi Hotere). They floored me. Creative New Zealand presented a group of really quality cultural acts, and my impression was of how together it was culturally.
Peter Noble Director of Bluesfest Australia - N Z Musician Feb/ March 2011
