''nia has been performing on small stages around the country for some time now. She has spent many hours in studios recording other people's stuff. Now 'nia is breaking out on her own in a big way.

She currently is performing cover songs that she hopes will provide some semblance of the style of her own writing and unique sound. Mean while, she is urgently working on her first original cd, hopeful for a release in early 2008.

'nia recently moved to Wilmington, NC and in a short time caught the attention of a local music producer and was introduced to her current partner and keyboardist, John Korell. Her lead vocals are anything but ordinary. She captures her audience with her soulful sincerity and in the blink of an eye brings her fans along with her for an emotional roller coaster ride through life's highs and lows. She commands complete attention from her fans with her performances, leading more towards the alternative. New fans are born at every performance as they are hit with her uniqueness, representing her experiences in life, connecting with deeper feelings of empathy to others' experiences, as well.

"I live to be on stage. It is when my soul is most at peace on this earth. I have a wealth of experiences to draw from and communicate to my fans that they might feel a release from their own emotional ride. I lost my husband 2 years ago in a fatal car accident. Shortly thereafter, I began to understand why God put me on this earth. I have to pursue my dream of reaching out to others with the understanding of their own pain. They have to know that they are never, ever alone with it. I, at times, am on the verge of tears myself while feeling the emotions I am conveying through the lyrics and melodies." Nia began her career with a demo contract at East Avalon Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. She sang backup on an album recorded for Terry McNeal which was produced by Jack Holder and Eli Ball at 'Sounds Unreel' studio in Memphis, TN. She has been recognized and given inspiration by Roseanne Cash, Suzy Nolen, backup singer for Miami Sound Machine, Don Daily, producer at 'Fame' Studio's in Muscle Shoals, AL and most recently by Todd Mark Rubenstein, TMR Productions, Nashville, TN. While living in Santa Barbara, Cali she became the lead female vocalist for the 'Brian Faith Band' with former members from the 'The Strawberry Alarm Band'.
