Bio

Dropping a dash of mystery, a pinch of Nia (purpose) and a smidgen of Imani (faith) into a cookie cutter industry, Nia Imani is a bona fide musical phenomenon. Armed with the tools to take the entertainment industry by storm and to be The Voice of A New Generation, she has amazed countless producers, engineers, and industry execs with her songwriting and production skills on her debut EP, “Luv, Drugs, & Other Stuff.”

The story of a small town girl left Atlanta for the bright lights and big city of LA, devised her own brand of distinctive urban alternative electro-pop music in her bedroom, and independently released it to the world, has become so prevalent it's almost cliché – but we should still take heed. Signed by SESAC as an affiliate songwriter and music publisher at the delicate age of 10, on the strength of an outstanding vocal performance and great instincts, Nia Imani has spent the past 8 years finishing high school at age 15, honing her craft at piano, guitar, drums, violin, vocal, acting, ballet and hip hop dance, and amassing a catalog of over one hundred songs that she solely wrote and produced.

All disbelief will soon be dismissed as we witness “Luv, Drugs, & Other Stuff EP” become a sensation. All songs were written and produced by Nia Imani, vocal produced by the internationally renowned Vocal Producer for The Vocal Corner Store, Nick Cooper (American Idol, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj). It was recorded by Grammy-nominated engineer, Javad Day (J Lo, Ciara), mixed by Grammy-nominated mixing engineer, Ariel Chobaz (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj), and mastered by two-time Grammy-nominated mastering engineer, Mike Bozzi (Kendrick Lamar, Janet Jackson) at the acclaimed Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, California.

From being cast to sing and play a key vocal, Nina Simone's “Four Women” in the Nina film starring Zoe Saldana, to starring as Young Nala in Disney’s Tony-Award winning musical “The Lion King” on Broadway, Nia Imani has a resume to rival some adults.

Dancing to the beat of her own drum, Nia Imani is paving her own lane, one which will allow her artistry to develop exponentially, as she continues to enjoy the ride.
