Bio
Nic Dente is a stylish rock focused songstress, with So Cal roots and a gritty Canadian backbite. Her songs are driving, bittersweet, with commanding melodies and a pressing and earthy tone.
Born in Toronto in the mid 80’s, Nic’s early formative years were spent in the small beach town of Del mar in Southern California where in combination with her Canadian adolescence assisted her bittersweet sound much like chiaroscuro; the contrast between light and dark.
Nic’s forth coming EP “Not What You Expected” showcases both her passion and ambition to make her mark on the rock scene. Nic isn’t easily compared to her other female rock figures out there. Too raw to be Avril and too talented to be Courtney, Nic finds herself discovering a whole new realm of unexplored female rock.
Former senior VP to Sony A&R, Mike Roth calls Nic “Edgy… with lots of potential” and that’s just where Nic is heading.
