Best friends Elana and Joe coming to their senses and finally making a commitment in the form of musical collaboration in NICE! the band. Fun electronic songs from two college kids that seem to be okay at this stuff.

Elana and Joe met their Freshman year at NYU and decided to be best friends. They both spent their first year at school figuring out their equipment and then decided by the time that their second year started that collaboration was inevitable. Now they are making music together with a vast array on instruments on computer equipment with MIDI instruments and all that confusing crap that they still don't know how to explain (but they know how to play it). Their musical influences vary from Black Moth Super Rainbow to Groundation to Power Pill Fist to Phish to Rattatat to their favorite act that they see together, Flying Lotus. Still best friends and still collaborating, NICE!'s music has the gravity of serious electronic music but the bubbly (or energetic) fun of Black Moth Super Rainbow or Mindless Self Indulgence. They also self-produce and direct videos that they play with their set to make more of an aesthetic, multimedia experience as opposed to a 2-dimensional, simply sound-based, show.
