Bio

A musician my whole life, I started playing music professionally at age 13. After a brief scholarship stint at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, I returned to Cincinnati to continue working with my little R&B band, Out Of The Blue. Soon after, I began my infatuation with Latin music with the 1997 co-formation of the legendary local Afro-Caribbean Cincinnati group, Bailando Desnudo, playing guitar, cuatro, percussion & singing.

In 2000, I formed my own group, ¡ZUMBA!, which specializes in traditional, classic Cuban music. It is in this group, that I get to play one of my favorite intruments, the Puerto Rican cuatro (a ten-string instrument from Puerto Rico).

In addition to ¡ZUMBA!, I currently perform with the hot local Cincinnati Latin ensemble, Tropicoso, as the groups Timbalero (two small brass drums with assorted cowbells). I also perform with the local "mambo maniacs" Salsa Caliente, Salsa Brava & sound engineering with Son Del Caribe.

I also provide live, studio and TV sound engineering tailored to Latin music. (more details...)

Beyond my musical credits, I'm also one of the founding partners in CincyLatino. The organization is involved in promoting Latino culture in Greater Cincinnati, by providing unique and relevant events that celebrate Cincinnati's growing vibrant local Latino scene.
