Bio

Early aughts pop rock gets a second wind with Nick Karcher, a Chicago based singer-songwriter. Born in '97, Karcher grew up during the peak of Avril Lavigne, Ashlee Simpson, and pop rock's mainstay on top forty radio. While undoubtedly and unapologetically influenced by the sounds that made him fall in love with music, he's taken the electric guitar riffs that ruled his childhood and meshed them with dirty club beats, catchier hooks and husky vocals.

Taking cues from the hitmakers before him in his lyricism, Karcher dresses up battling depression and self esteem with glossy synths, a thumping kick drum and infectious chorus on the album cut "Red Wine" from his debut extended play, "Do Not Disturb". Nevertheless, the 22 year old knows how to party and most definitely makes the time and place for it on standout track "Don't Call Me Anymore", where crunchy guitars and disco synths blend together underneath a singalong chorus calling out a cheating ex boyfriend. The aforementioned EP was released in March 2019 and has since amassed over 20,000 streams.

Karcher's follow up single, "All of the Above", was released in May 2019 and he describes the track as an "alternative pop song I wrote about a really sh***y and toxic relationship my best friend was in." The bass heavy track is lined with moody synths, subtle jazz influences and echoing vocoders. The track garnered significant press from entertainment websites such as PopCrave and has since been streamed over 20,000 times.

In November 2019, Karcher released "Tell Me We're Fine" to universal acclaim. Over smooth guitar riffs and an R&B influenced drum line, he laments a relationship gone wrong due to his own actions. The music video teased on Instagram racked up over 5,000 views.

Whether Nick Karcher take the stage in handmade rock and roll attire often calling back to his album artwork or skinny jeans & a t-shirt, one thing is for sure - he owns the stage with his charisma, uniqueness, nerve, undeniable talent and energy able to captivate any audience.
