Bio
much of my childhood was spent picking up different instruments to master them in my own way. piano was my base, and from there guitar and bass took attention, then onto drums in an innovative girl-fronted "pop punk" (so called) band. now i write music for my own troubles, and the instruments i've grown up playing turn out to provide a nice backbone. traditional instruments like banjo, mandolin, and ukulele are also proving valuable additions. what might be called an eclectic mix of tastes: i simply am attracted to the brilliance of such composers as bach and beethoven, debussy and stravinsky, and yet bang my head to some of the blackest death-iest metal i can find, while forever attached to the greatest talents of jazz, funk, latin, on up to rock - classic and indie - and folk and bluegrass (from davis, coltrane, stevie wonder, gilberto gil to yes, sunny day real estate, over the rhine and allison krauss).
