Bio
Nick Long did not uncover his talent for songwriting until late into his teen years. His continual exposure to music and literature throughout his adolescence planted the seeds for his love affair with songwriting. While exposed to the cultural pockets of Ohio University and Athens, OH, Nick began teaching himself the guitar and piano, which eventually led to a change in major in order to pursue music full time. During college, he played in a regional band, which gave him the opportunity to record and tour throughout the state. Due to physical distance and other life circumstances, the members of the group decided to bring an amicable end to its efforts, which led Nick to start a career on his own. Now living in Columbus, OH, he is preparing to release his first solo effort. Already, Nick has been approached by an independent filmmaker and 4 of his songs will be featured in a film scheduled to begin production in the summer of 2008.
