"Music Alert: Nick Rodrigues 'Gonna Be A Good Day'"

Sure tere's Beyonce and Justin Timberlake, but let's face it, they're old now. What truly impresses us are kids with natural, raw talent who are just beginning to tap into their creative abilities as artists and musicians.
one such newcomer is Nick Rodrigues. Not only does Nick sing, but he sure knows how to rock out on the guitar and writes his own music. Nick's been performing since he was 5yrs old and now, at 13, he's been writing and recording material for his debut album in Los Angeles.
Nick was raised listening to some of music's biggest icons like BB King, Buddy Guy, Stevie ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. It's no surprise that Nick's been rocking the guitar since he was 9yrs old.

Bio

When you see Nick....you see a 13 year old....when you talk to him, or hear him sing....you're confused, because he's an old soul....seemingly too full of spirit, words and song for his 13 years.

He was raised on BB King, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton and later the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. He sang before he talked. His Dad used to play guitar, and Nick would sing along, not even knowing the meaning of some of the lyrics that swooned out of his little mouth.

Nick began voice lessons at age 5, played violin for a couple of years after that, and then switched to guitar when he was 9, which he continues to play. Nick has performed since he was 5.

Now, at age 13 and able to pick and choose what he likes to listen to, Nick's music interests now range from Queen to Justin Timberlake and Rob Thomas.

Nick recently went to LA to record two songs with composer producer Jimmy Messer, and continues to land acting roles in film and television.

Nick's talents are endless.....and are magnified by the fact that he is just 13 years old.

Nick was the winner of the 2009 Calgary Junior Idol (13 to 17 year olds). Thanks to everyone who cheered Nick on from near and far.
