Nick Sgrosso

Nick Sgrosso

BandRockSinger/Songwriter

Classic, melodic rock with a singer/songwriter twist. If Tom Petty, Ryan Adams and Jimmy Eat World played together, this is what they would sound like.

Biography

Nick Sgrosso is a songwriter and singer in the same tradition as Tom Petty, Ryan Adams and The Eagles. Blending simple, honest lyrics and melodies with well-crafted harmonies, he presents a familiar yet unique sound. Starting off singing in various melodic rock bands after high school, he realized that the storytelling style of classic rock bands was closer to his heart than the louder, aggressive music he had grown accustomed to. He left those bands and started writing songs for a new project, one more reminiscent of Bob Dylan or the Traveling Wilburys. Set on this, he assembled a band of top-notch players who share his passion and total commitment to the music, and who believe that the classics never go out of style.

Lyrics

Save Me

Written By: Nick Sgrosso

I take one step forward and go two more back, I don't know where I 'm going but I'm getting there fast, These wings won't take me high enough where the shadow disappears, and I'm lost and uncertain up here. So pull me down when all that I want is all that I can't have. Save me when this house of cards is falling down and my wandering heart is ready for home, won't you save me 'cause I'm so tired of falling down and my wandering heart is ready for home. Life it seems is such a lonely road, when your gut and shoes are tied in knots, but where the pavement ends and country roads stretch on for miles, I see the footprints of those who came before. Save me when this house of cards is falling down and my wandering heart is ready for home, Save me 'cause I'm so tired of falling down and my wandering heart is ready for home.
