If Johnny Lang and John Mayer had a baby, you'd have the emotionally driven, organic, acoustic soul/blues/folk that is NICK SHATTUCK.

Nick Shattuck is a singer/songwriter based out of La Crosse, WI. With inspiration from the Mississippi River and the Midwest, he writes songs from the soul, intimate and often emotional depictions of his day to day encounters and experiences. He prides himself in writing honest, organic, acoustic music.
Nick has had the honor of sharing the stage with some of the best bands in the area as well as several national touring bands including Brett Dennen. His passionate live performances combined with his honest, down to earth songs, have quickly built a solid fan following in many cities throughout the Midwest as well as the United States.
After spending 3 months living and playing on Catalina Island, 26 miles off the coast of California, Nick returns to the Midwest with a newly expanded fan following, new songs, a love for the Ukulele, and an altered frame on life.

"From the cradle, to the hearse, to the earth, I wanna live in chorus and verse" - lyrics from "Follow the River" off of "Chorus and Verse"

"The final goal is to become more than a person who plays music, but a person whose life is completely defined by it" - Second Supper.

Autumn Sunset

Written By: Nick Shattuck

I chased down the tail of an autumn sunset
Watched it take a dip below the Mississippi's edge
The sky was left in a darkening blue, and me, I was left without you (CHORUS)

I hang my toes above these river rocks
Silent night but the river talks
Lovers stroll with fingers locked
And now your name lingers on my tongue
But I am young and dumb
Papa says "You'll be fine my son
It takes time to put the pieces of the puzzle back
So for now boy, relax"

Had an epiphany, differently philosophy,
It took a tragedy to open my eyes
Now I open my heart
And I open my mind
And I'm finally feeling fine
But I'd be lying if I said it was easy
I'd be lying if I said it was swift
I've been trying good people believe me
Believe me, Believe me.
