Bio

It’s been a long and strenuous road to get where I’m at with my music. When first starting out I was just a teenager messing around on some home studio software and striking random chords on an acoustic guitar. If it sounded the slightest bit decent I would just put it out there. Looking back at it now it’s strange to think about me uploading one to two minute songs that didn’t have any type of structure to them at all. But I guess we all have to start somewhere.

As I grew up so did my taste in music and just like any musician, I hope, I wanted to start expanding and experimenting. This would be bittersweet I would come to see in the next few months…maybe even couple years. I found myself pushing out songs with force rather than allowing them to just come at their own pace. When I actually was able to finish a song I could barely stand to listen to it let alone play it. These years/months were the worst in my music carrier. I fell into a writer’s/musician’s block that I couldn’t shake. (If you were one of the people that had the chance to listen during this time frame let me sincerely apologize for you deserved better.)

The first change in name was from “Nick Stiles” to “More Love” and along with it I wanted to try my approach at making more “electronic/synth” based music. Once again these few songs that I forced were nothing more than me trying to write “good” songs and failing miserably at it. This type of music lasted through yet again anther name change or “phase” as I’m going to refer to them now. This one being from “More Love” to “Family and Friends”. Not much came from or changed with this switch other than more expensive equipment that I no longer want to even touch.

I wish I could be that person that says “I love every song I have ever created” unfortunately I am not. But what I can be is a person that says I’ve grown and I have learned from what I have created in the past. With that being said one final name changed occurs. From “Family and Friends” back to what I’ve always been “Nick Stiles”. Underneath all the poppy electronic sounds and crazy drum beats over the years there has always been my love for the acoustic sound. “From The Hearse To The Dirt” is the start of something I’ve always dreamt about. It’s not just a demo that I’ve created. It’s a piece of me in every letter of every word, every pluck on every chord. I enjoy these songs more than I could have expected to enjoy any of my songs and hope they have the same affect on you as they have me.

If you’ve taken the time to read this I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to share with you what I feel is everything I’ve been doing with my music over the past few years. It truly means a lot to me. Thank you for listening.
