Bio

With a diverse mix of pop/rock and bluesy funk The Nick Zuber Band is being described as the next big thing to come out of the Cleveland area. After releasing two LP's in 2006, singer-songwriter Nick Zuber (23) and bass player Jonathan "Jono" Yowell (26) hooked up with 25 year old drummer Angela "AC" Cutrone creating a chemistry that would prove to be out of this world. Since early 2007 the trio has evolved to showcase a classic, yet experimental sound that has been lighting up the Northeast Ohio music scene.

In mid-2007 the band not only found their schedules getting busier but also saw a vast demand for recorded music. AC remembers, “People were so eager to have our music on CD that we were getting offers from fans who wanted to pay for studio time which blew us away.” Fans got what they asked for with the release of the limited edition “Acoustic EP” which went on to sell over 200 copies in just a few months. The disc soon caught the attention of 97.1FM radio DJ Jeremy James who began spinning ‘Little Things’ and also had them in-studio for an interview spot. By the end of 2007 as their schedule and fan base continued to expand so did their music and they found themselves back in the studio recording their full-length LP The Garden of Constant Rain.

The new disc can be described as diverse and upbeat. A mash-up of bluesy torch bearers, funk influenced dance songs, acoustic pop and guitar-heavy rock anthems, The Garden of Constant rain speaks to the bands’ experiences and ponderings on love and life. They are excited about this work as they feel it is a reflection of their artistic influences, which include everyone from Dave Matthews to Bob Dylan, and also their unique personalities. Nick and the band are happiest making and playing music that puts them and their diverse mix of fans ‘in the zone’ as Nick describes, “When the song sounds like it feels. Or when it such a universal sound that no matter who you are or what you like, you can still find something in that song to relate with. Whether it makes you tap your toes, smile or even cry, as long as it’s moving you in some way.”

Since its release in January 2008 The Garden of Constant Rain has already sold over 300 copies by way of concerts, CDBaby.com, and street team reps. After rocking colleges with bands like Philadelphia based Fooling April, playing a sold out Autism awareness benefit at House of Blues in Cleveland, and wowing new fans during their South Carolina tour The Nick Zuber Band doesn’t plan on slowing down. Not only will they be gaining new fans in the surrounding Great Lakes States, they are also going international when they cross the border for a Canadian appearance this summer. The band is also currently in the early stages of writing new songs for the album that they hope will be the key to opening bigger and better doors for them in the coming years.
