Nic Mars and Gary Blu

The Adventures of Lunar Coyote is the coming together of singer/songwriter Nic Mars and Steely Dan arranger Gary Blu. Together, with the support of the Boxcar Rhythm Section, Nic and Gary navigate the multi-layered landscapes of the Americana/Grassroots and Alternative Folk genres. All of the band members are formidable players and bring their own unique and vast experience, expertise and energy to the dynamic sounds and songs of an American original band. In the few years that they've been performing, The Adventures of Lunar Coyote have been wowing local and regional audiences with a lively array of original songs, along with their own artistic renditions of some of the songs familiar to the genre. They move easily from the haunting ballad of Woody Guthries Ghost, to the more up-beat and up-tempoed dance tune Indigina, and then throw in a rousing whiskey house rendition of Bob Dylan's Watching The River Flow. One thing is for certain: When The Adventures of Lunar Coyote start to elevate the vibe, it is impossible to sit still. It has been reported that joyous and expressive dancing in the isles has broken out at many a Lunar Coyote concert.
