Biography
NicoG was born in Italy) on 17 March 1975, soon after adopted by South African parents; and grew up in Kempton Park (near Johannesburg). He is an inspiring musician whose music career began at an early age as he performed on stages around South Africa.

Early Success
At the age of 8 years, he performed as the lead singer, choreographer and songwriter for the 80’s mega-hit South African child pop band “Kids on the Block” (not to be confused with the 90’s USA band “New Kids on the Block”) which peaked after 8 years. Working under the then front name of “Sandy” with this child band, Nico has had multiple hit singles and chart-topping albums behind him.

NicoG also worked with the original South African cover-song band “Sugar and Spice” from around the age of 15 for some time. He also sang gospel and inspirational music in many shows, weddings, church conferences and events during these formative years.

2011
Popular in sound journeys, drumming circles and using his unique and powerful voice,
and combining a more mature outlook this self-taught musician, who has mastered 15 different musical instruments and with his song-writing talents soaring once again, Nico (under the solo name of NicoG) is now releasing a brand new single “Fly to the Moon” which will be followed by his full debut album in 2011, with many completed tracks for the full album almost ready for mastering.

With this new single release, accompanied by his heart-opening track “My Dream of Man” on the CD version of the single, NicoG’s goal is to once again bring his talents into play so that his love of song and passion for good music will allow many to experience his pitch-perfect vocal range as he sings his own songs and other tracks from a variety of musical genres including jazz, blues, pop, alternative, club, country and spiritual too.
