Nicole Macri

Where words fail, music speaks, and that is exactly what this beautiful Italian- American’s music does; it speaks volumes. Every once in a while, an artist comes along whose talent inspires everyone who encounters it. Dallas Pennsylvanian’s Nicole Macri is an artist who's striking voice, charming down-to-earth personality touches all generations. As an award winning multi-faceted entertainer, her accomplishments in modeling, acting and entertainment while growing up only added fuel to her fire. Her love of big ballads and great voices is what most influenced her music tastes and style.

Nicole's Christmas record, Blessed, sold tons of copies whose proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society in an effort to give back to her community.

“I often find myself singing out loud walking down the street, or breaking into random bursts of song. I wear my emotions on my sleeve and it gets me in to trouble from time to time. I don’t have a middle name and no one believes that I don’t. I live to sing - and singing is my life,” says Macri.

Nicole worked with maestro Giacomo Simonelli who produced a six song collection of original compositions on a lush orchestral bed of strings and horns with the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti from Naples (see mp3's to preview). Nicole’s musical influences include Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli, Mariah Carey, and Karen Carpenter.

“It is my goal, says Nicole, to bring back the days of great voices in pop music. I’ve always loved big vocals and pure voices in contemporary music. It’s why my music is often referred to as Classically Influenced Pop.”

While under the belief that picking a favorite genre is comparable to you ‘picking your favorite child’, she accommodates a wide variety of musical styling whether it is ballads, pop, salsa, or contemporary. Currently, Nicole is diligently working upon her latest endeavor, but always mindful of the next new project.

Next stop for Nicole, “I want to go International, with my main focus being Italy,” she says. “I want to touch as many lives as humanly possible with my gift of musical talent, and have it bring people as much happiness listening to it as it brings me to sing it.”

Born and raised in the small town of Dallas, Pennsylvania, Nicole's talent was discovered at age four when her grandmother noticed her granddaughter's loud, rather enthusiastic version of "Happy Birthday" and realized she wasn’t just an average child. By age seven, Nicole was competing in local contests and belting out songs. Nicole has a deep-rooted musical background. From music and acting camps, beauty pageants, and small local venues, to arena’s filled with thousands of fans, Nicole has been immersed in all facets of the creative musical process. Nicole attended the John Cabot University in Rome and sang with a local band from Rome. Nicole is devoutly proud of her Italian heritage and has plans to return to tour with her music there.
