Nigel Wearne is a country/folk singer-songwriter whose music has an intimate and poignant narrative. Equipped with personally handcrafted guitars, his music melds country twang, honky tonk and honest storytelling. Nigel is a compelling solo performer and recently established his band Nigel Wearne & The Cast Iron Promises. Featuring finger-style guitar, fiddle, mandolin and double-bass, the band delivers dynamic and inspired performances that will rattle your emotions. With a hint of Hank Williams and influences including Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, Bob Dylan and the spirit of Woody Guthrie, he tells stories of mischievous bank robbers, wandering poets and his love of eggs.
