Greetings music lovers!!!! Every so often the planets align and create a beautiful sound in the sky. This unique sound was sent to Earth by a special star named "NIJA".
Born of parents Lisa and Jackie Gallaspy in Atlanta, Georgia, Lisa noticed early on, that Nija had a special gift, which was singing. She has a beautiful voice way beyond her years. Lisa then developed Nija's talents for performing by entering her into local talent shows. Nija quickly established herself as a local singing sensation.
Nija has been influenced by Michael and Janet Jackson, Aaliah, Patti Labelle, and Tina Turner, whom we are sure that she heard from her mother.
After having a few set-backs in the music industry, Nija caught the eye of Jennifer Lyles, who is an executive of Élan Music. Élan Music is an independent record label based in College Park, Georgia. Jennifer sent a video of Nija singing to the CEO of Élan Music, Leonard "L.T." Taylor. He saw the video and was blown away by the sound of her voice and her strong passion for music. He then contacted Jennifer to set up a meeting with Nija asap, which she did. Once at the meeting Jennifer was able to see the foundation around Nija, which included her mom and dad, and her little sister (Saquorya) who Jennifer was fascinated with because she was so smart like a little genius. Then Nija began to sing and Jennifer could not stop smiling, which got her in trouble, because L.T told her, no matter how good Nija is do not become a fan. Too late the damage is done.
L.T met Nija and her family and it was an instant bond, Nija never opened up to anyone outside of her family before, but with L.T it was different. He understood her and how much she loved music. So they sat down and came up with an agreement and on her birthday she signed to Élan Music and L.T is now her manager.
With Nija signed to Élan Music, they are in the studio working on her first full length recording CD. She is doing shows all over the south to include The Sweet Auburn Festival and she just signed on to do a twelve week show case called "How Bad Do You Want It?", and she is putting her own show-case together to perform for L.A Reid Jr.
L.T is using all of his resources to make Nija's project the best that it can be. He has put together a young core of producers and songwriters to give Nija a sound all of her own......so here you are world.... Élan Music presents to you.....NIJA!
